what is giclée?

Giclée (pronounced “zshee-clay”) is a modern style of printmaking, derived from a French term meaning “to spray”. This refers to the method in which pigment is applied to a surface (i.e., canvas, paper, etc.). Giclée printing uses advanced technology to deliver the most color-accurate, high-resolution results which can be virtually indistinguishable from the original art. These fine art prints use more pigments than traditional 4-color process, making a wider spectrum possible. And my giclée canvas prints are also printed with a UV protective layer, shielding from scratches and sunlight. In the digital age, giclée has become the fine art industry standard for museum-grade archival-quality prints.
