unleash the beast within

A universe inside. All of creation within reach.

Majestic lion's heart pounding like thunder.

Reach for the stars. Break the chains that bind you

and unleash the beast within.

an exquisite corpse

Unleash The Beast Within was created as both a component of a collaborative project, as well as a stand-alone piece.

In November 2015, Exquisite Corpse International launched their first annual Parade of Corpses — an ambitious group exhibition featuring the work of over thirty world-class American and British artists. Based on a game dating back to the 1920s, it was developed by the surrealists as a way of combining their individual styles to achieve strange and surprising results.

Each artist worked on a section of a body (or “corpse”) in their chosen media, either 2D (painting) or 3D (sculpture). The first artist in each group created the legs and feet, then passed it to the second artist to work on the torso. That artist then passed it on to a third, who completed the head. Each artist was not be able to see the work of the previous artists until the unveiling at the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, FL. Designed to travel to high-profile galleries and museums in the US and around the world, unfortunately, the tour was cancelled due to mismanagement.
